They arrived at the restaurant and made their way to a table near the back. Inside, the décor was classy, and the atmosphere felt romantic. Tables with lit candles in the middle were spaced far enough apart to create a sense of privacy between the restaurant’s patrons.

Mostly couples filled the seats. Ivan pulled out Tammy’s chair, and she took a seat. He looked gorgeous in an olive green button-down shirt and black pants.

Ivan ordered grilled salmon with pilaf rice and sautéed vegetables while Tammy got roasted Cornish hen with sweet potato hash and sweet-and-sour vegetables. She hadn’t tasted food so delicious in a long time. Everything was seasoned to perfection.

Tammy sipped from her glass of wine. The aroma made her want to close her eyes and inhale—it was rich, earthy, and sweetly pungent.

“Tell me about yourself.” Ivan smiled.

“What do you want to know?”

“Anything you’re willing to share.”

It had been a long time since a man had showed interest in Tammy, and she felt flattered. She told him about her childhood aspiration of becoming a ballerina, about the long hours and the effects intense training had on her body. She’d pushed on until she broke her toe.

“I know some people wouldn’t view being a ballerina as athletic, but it was.”

Her dad had always been against it, and when Tammy recovered and didn’t want to continue, both parents got onboard. She never did any other type of dance again, but began playing on the basketball team soon after she healed.

“Then, when I began junior high, I discovered that all things numbers came easily to me. That's why I can easily analyze the numbers of your competitors before writing up the reports I give you.”

“Your work has proven to be immensely important, so thank you.”

Ivan sipped from his glass. His lips looked inviting. Good enough to nibble on. He put down his glass.

“You’re most welcome.”

Ivan leaned in then. Tammy’s eyes locked on his. “I’m happy it was you who showed up at that charity event that night.”

Tammy felt her panties get wet. She purred inside her mind. “Thank you,” she said softly.

They continue dating over the next couple of days. Sometimes, they’d head straight to dinner after work. Tammy enjoyed the suave Russian’s company immensely. Although they hadn’t been seeing each other for that long, Tammy’s attraction to him grew. She was definitely falling for Ivan, and hoped her feelings wouldn’t prove to be one-sided.
